I agree that Gohan has gotten weaker over those 7 years...but i doubt he really went ssj2 in the fight against Dabura. I mean...the power gap between ssj2 and Perfect cell(even SP Cell) is huge. Remember Kid Gohan ssj2 defeated SP Cell and he was wounded at that time, making his power go down by around 40% from his full power ssj2. But Dabura is weaker than SP Cell, so if you say that Gohan was ssj2 at the time he fought Dabura, that would mean that Gohan has lost more than 50% of his ssj2 power over those 7 years. That is just ridiculous. He maybe lost 10%-15% at the most, there is no way he could have lost that much. He wasn't training, but saiyans don't get that much weaker over time. And the second thing...there are no lightnings or electrical sparks in his aura, so how can he be a ssj2? |

Gohan being able to fight evenly with Dabura at SSJ1 is even more ridiculous if he really did get weaker. Supressed Perfect Cell > SSJ1 Gohan at the Cell Games...and Dabura is probably between full power Perfect Cell and Super Perfect Cell. No way could Gohan of put up any sort of fight at SSJ1 imo, unless Dabura was just messing, but I don't think he was. Gohan didn't necessarily lose 40% of his power against Cell. He said he'd lost half his power from being injured, but Goku then said "What's really holding you back is your own self doubt!"...he probably lost like 20% if that. A damaged arm isn't that big a deal in regards to Ki. Piccolo has had his arm taken off multiple times and not lost half his power. He can regenerate, yes, but that has no effect on Ki lost. The bio-electricity is a minor thing and it's often forgotten, or added in places where it shouldn't be, especially in the animé. However, it's possible Gohan was SSJ1 and Dabura was actually weaker then Perfect Cell. We only have Goku's word that Dabura was around Cell's level, and then later his statement he underestimated Dabura after Dabura used some effective techniques. I dunno. I used to be sure Gohan was SSJ1, but I can't remember why I thought so. OR you could take Goku's "He's a lot stronger then I thought" statement as Dabura being stronger then SPC. I don't think there's an answer for this one. But why wouldn't Gohan go SSJ2? Edited by Psyam, Oct 3 2009, 08:14 PM.

Dabura was equal to Perfect Cell's power. They haven't seen a power as strong as SPC's until Majin Vegeta, so obviously they were referring to Perfect Cell rather than SPC. Perfect Cell was too much for Goku, so that means Dabura would have been as well. The stone spit would just turn the tables even more so in favor of Dabura. |

I dont have much to offer to this topic besides something that Psyam said (sorta off topic). Piccolo's regenerating arm actually brings his PL down, Freeza stated this when he was fighting Nail and Nail regenerated his arm. Besides that i agree with everything else. its a pretty convincing argument. Dabura looked like he was fooling around with SSJ2 gohan, but SSJ2 gohan wasnt using his full power acording to goku (gohans doubt was holding him back). I think if Gohan went full power SSJ2 like at the cell games, He'd be an even match for Dabura, which would mean that Dabura = SSJ2 Gohan (fp) >> Perfect Cell > SSJ Goku |

Heh I always seem to come back on at just when someone posts. That actually proves my point :P Regeneration doesn't regenerate a Namek's ki when his arm is damaged, so we can ignore the fact that Piccolo can regenerate, and just focus on how much ki he lost when his arm was taken off by Raditz, and against Cell. It wasn't much. Piccolo was still confident he could beat Cell after he lost an arm's worth of Ki. Seeing as regeneration doesn't effect Ki lost from the injury, we can assume that the energy that Gohan lost from a damaged arm was probably around the same Piccolo would have lost from losing an arm. Around 10-20% probably. Saying Gohan lost half his power from Cell's attack is a big overstatement in my opinion. Goku said it was Gohan's doubt holding him back, not his injury. Anyway I think we can all agree that Dabura would at least beat Cell Game's Goku
